LONDON (AFP) — The British teacher charged with insulting Islam in Sudan made an "innocent mistake," Foreign Secretary David Miliband said Thursday as he called for "common sense" to prevail in the case.
The comments came as the Sudanese ambassador to London was summoned to the Foreign Office to discuss the case of Gillian Gibbons, who was facing a court hearing in Khartoum after letting her pupils name a teddy bear Mohammed.
