FAYETTEVILLE, Arkansas (AFP) — Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Matt Jones was arrested early Thursday on charges of possession of a controlled substance.
Jones, 25, was arrested and charged with possession of cocaine, Fayetteville police spokesman Rick Christman said.
According to the police report, officers allege they saw Jones using a credit card to scrape white powder on to a card in his lap. He was booked into Washington County jail and an arraignment hearing is scheduled for Friday.
After catching 77 passes for 1,075 yards and nine touchdowns in his first two seasons with the Jaguars, he struggled last year.
