Bayern's Sagnol on the mend
MUNICH, Germany (AFP) — Bayern Munich's French international defender Willy Sagnol has played his first full game since suffering a knee injury back in April.
The 30-year-old, who has 51 caps for his country and played in last year's World Cup final, injured his right knee in a Champions League match with AC Milan in April.
But he returned to training at the start of the month and on Friday turned out to play for Bayern's reserve team.
Sagnol declared on Saturday: "My knee survived the test. After 90 minutes I wasn't tired, that's a good sign. I felt a lot better in the second half."
