DiCaprio settles basketball court lawsuit

LOS ANGELES (AFP) — Leonardo DiCaprio has settled a legal dispute with neighbors who claimed that a basketball court built at the star's home had destabilized their property, court records showed Friday.

Ronald and Joan Linclau had sued DiCaprio for 250,000 dollars in damages over the court built at his home in the Hollywood Hills.

The Linclaus claimed the court had undermined a slope near their home and support for a swimming pool.

However, the dispute has now been resolved, according to a notice of settlement filed with the Los Angeles Superior Court on Thursday. No terms of the settlement were divulged.

DiCaprio, 33, has been nominated for an Oscar three times, most recently in 2007 for his performance in the action-adventure "Blood Diamond."

He is next to appear in the Ridley Scott thriller, "Body of Lies", due for release in the US later this year.
