US duo wins home men's bobsleigh World Cup race

PARK CITY, Utah (AFP) — Defending World Cup champion Steven Holcomb and Curt Tomasevicz of the United States won a two-man bobsleigh race Friday in 1min 37.01secs to seize the season points lead after two events.

Germany's Thomas Florschuetz and Mirko Paetzold were runners-up by .16 of a second with Austrians Wolfgang Stampfer and Johannes Wipplinger third in 1:37.28.

Holcomb has 435 points to 417 for Germany's Andre Lange, 402 for Florschuetz and 400 for Stampfer.
