Channel tunnel train still burning

CALAIS, France (AFP) — Two wagons on the freight shuttle that caught fire in the Channel Tunnel were still burning on Friday but the blaze was under control, officials said.

A spokesman for the regional prefecture said that two wagons were still burning at 6:30 am but at the same time sub-prefect Gerard Gavory told AFP that "the fire is under control" and that French and British firemen were putting out the final patches of the inferno.
