HARARE (AFP) — Police raided the headquarters of Zimbabwe's main opposition party on Monday, taking people out of the building and bundling them in a bus, an AFP journalist saw.
More than 10 police officers, some in riot gear, were conducting the raid at the headquarters in downtown Harare and traffic in the area had been blocked.
A number of people the opposition says were victims of political violence had been taking shelter in the headquarters.
