NFL's Harrison under investigation after bar shooting

PHILADELPHIA, Pennsylvania (AFP) — Indianapolis Colts receiver Marvin Harrison is allegedly under investigation for a shooting outside a bar that he owns here in his hometown area, ESPN reported Friday.

Citing a WIP radio report, ESPN said Harrison and the alleged victim were arguing and gunfire followed, striking the hand of the man who was arguing with the National Football League star receiver.

There was no identification of the alleged shooter nor have there been any charges filed or arrests made in connection with any such incident, ESPN reported.

Harrison was injured most of last season but caught 20 passes for 247 yards and a touchdown for the Colts in the 2007 campaign.

A season earlier, Harrison helped spark the Colts to the Super Bowl crown, with 95 catches with 1,366 yards and 12 touchdowns.

Harrison, 35, has played 13 NFL seasons. His best campaign was in 2002 when he made 143 catches for 1,722 yards and 11 touchdowns.
