NFL Browns' Winslow released from hospital

CLEVELAND, Ohio (AFP) — Cleveland Browns tight end Kellen Winslow Jnr was released from a hospital on Sunday but remains doubtful for Monday's National Football League game against the New York Giants.

Winslow was hospitalized Thursday with a still-undisclosed illness and remained at the Cleveland Clinic until being released Sunday.

The Browns have provided no details about Winslow's medical issues as the 1-4 team prepares to face the undefeated reigning Super Bowl champion Giants.

Winslow leads Cleveland with 19 catches for 170 yards and a touchdown and his absence would be a mighty blow for an offensive unit already ranking last in the NFL.

Winslow caught 82 passes for a career-high 1,106 yards and five touchdowns last season.
