Hollywood studio MGM agrees to build theme park in SKorea: report
SEOUL (AFP) — Hollywood studio MGM has agreed to build a theme park near South Korea's international airport west of Seoul, a report said Monday.
The agreement was reached between MGM and its South Korean partner, the Incheon International Airport Corp, Yonhap news agency said, quoting officials at the Ministry of Land, Transport and Maritime Affairs.
The theme park, due to to open in 2011 on the island of Yongjong where the airport is located, will feature MGM's blockbuster flicks and popular movie characters, it said.
MGM will supply content while a master plan will be finalised within three months after a list of investors is finalised, Yonhap said.
Officials were unavailable for comment.
